Fermented in open top fermenters with 60% whole cluster, 40% whole berry with native yeast.
Aged in 50% new French oak barrels for 18 months.

"I loved the 2021 Syrah Bien Nacido Vineyard, and along with the Buxom, it's one of the top wines in the lineup. Gorgeous black fruits, pepper, violets, smoked game, and bouquet garni notes define the aromatics, and it's medium to full-bodied on the palate, with a concentrated, vibrant, flawlessly balanced style. It's awesome today yet I see no reason it shouldn't evolve for at least 10-12 years. It's easily the finest vintage of this cuvée I've tasted. This release is 100% Syrah that saw 60% whole clusters in the ferments and spent 18 months in 50% new French oak barrels. There are a tiny 113 cases produced."
